the fox movie channel broadcasts no closed captioning at all. this cable channel airs classic films made by 20th century fox studios. as with amc, many of these films have played on networks and other channels with captioning, so fox is evidently not striking new prints or remastering old ones.

fox movie channel did not broadcast films in their original aspect ratios until recently, when they added several letterbox screenings each month in addition to the pan and scan presentations.

the channel is relatively new, and may fall under the 3-year exemption of the 1996 closed captioning law.
